Dark Omens: protect your Flame and spend your attacks wisely
Coordinate contributions, clear suppression and separate personal missions from your clan’s scoring plan.
By ClanOps · Updated

Think in scoring windows
Dark Omens is a two-day competition between four clans in a division. Your clan’s Flame produces ranking points, while enemy monsters can suppress production. The useful question is often “what protects our next scoring window?” rather than “who can make the biggest hit?”
Check clan eligibility before the event begins; late joining restricts participation.
Separate the two jobs
| Activity | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Arcanomancer battles | Earn Omen Sigils for daily missions and Spawn Cards |
| Essence contributions | Raise the Flame during scheduled contribution windows |
| Clearing Dark Omen monsters | Remove pressure from enemy summons |
| Sending summons | Disrupt a rival clan’s point production |
Treat these as separate budgets. Completing a personal task does not automatically mean you have removed the threat currently hurting your clan.
Make a simple clan rota
Ask one officer to announce the next contribution window in UTC and the clan’s preferred local time. Name a backup. Keep a small group ready to clear enemy summons and ask members to report what they are attacking so several people do not waste resources on a disappearing target.
Contributions are available only in scheduled windows. Check the current event timer rather than assuming you can contribute whenever you log in. A short shared plan is more useful than a large instruction sheet nobody reads.
Use summons with a purpose
Coordinate with your officers before sending Spawn Cards. Look at rival activity and the time available for them to respond. Sending everything as soon as it becomes available is not necessarily the strongest play.
The incoming-summon allowance refreshes hourly; monsters already present can continue suppressing production. Check the remaining allowance and target state before spending cards. Do not build the whole plan around a last-second trick that depends on an old version of the event.
Understand the cheaper battles
Dark Omen monster fights allow Silver recovery with a 90% reduction in revival cost, no permanent troop losses and no equipment wear. These benefits belong to those monsters; do not automatically apply them to Arcanomancer battles or other events.
Inspect the recovery screen after an affordable first attack. Cheap recovery still consumes Silver, especially over repeated fights. Keep enough reserve to answer an important enemy summon later.
Do not mistake this for a Valor farm
Dark Omen monster rewards no longer directly include Valor. Check the separate Spoils of Dread event for relevant personal-goal rewards. Judge ordinary Dark Omens attacks by the clan benefit and available milestones rather than an assumed VP payout.
Build towards useful rewards
Check the current reward panels before deciding which personal milestones to pursue. Chronoglyph is a valuable long-term goal for a training and food setup when its fragments are offered. Plan distribution with your clan rather than assuming every member automatically receives the same allocation.
After the event, review one thing that helped and one thing that cost resources unnecessarily. Keep that plan for the next round and update the timings from the live event.
Read Chronoglyph and Helen and the event calendar.
Check current requirements in-game before committing troops or resources.
