Torch of Olympus: Carter’s exploration upgrade

Use the Torch to strengthen a Crypt setup and collect fragments through Trials of Olympus.

What it is good for

Torch of Olympus supports Crypt exploration efficiency. Carter is our usual pairing because Crypt exploration is already his role. Equip it before sending a Crypt march, then compare the exploration preview for the same Crypt type and level.

Efficiency, Tar capacity and exploration-cost reduction describe different improvements. Do not advertise the Torch’s efficiency percentage as an equal discount on the Tar needed for a complete run.

How to obtain it

Trials of Olympus clan-ranking rewards can include Torch fragments once the clan meets its division’s requirements. Check the live reward panel and ask how your clan allocates its rewards. Being in a participating clan does not guarantee enough fragments for an immediate unlock.

How to improve it

Use matching fragments for stars and Artifact Experience for levels. Your current star progression limits how far you can level the item. Inspect the next upgrade before spending; fully unlocked stars can add random bonuses, so two players’ Torches may differ.

A practical comparison

Record the Crypt type and level, Carter’s setup, Tar used and exploration progress. Change the Torch alone, then compare a similar run. Keep travel time separate from Tar efficiency and allow for any chance-based result.

The full Carter Crypt guide covers equipment, research and choosing targets. Start with Artifact basics if you are deciding where to spend Experience.

Check current requirements in-game before committing troops or resources.
