Craft equipment for Heroes and Captains, combine materials and work with gems. Higher Forge levels increase equipment crafting speed.

Overview
The Forge uses materials found in Crypts to craft equipment for Heroes and Captains. Equipment improves their statistics, with different sets providing different bonuses.
Crafting equipment
Crafting an item requires four specific materials. Its cost and crafting time depend on its quality. Allies can help, and Speedups can shorten the wait.
Higher-level equipment provides stronger bonuses. Equipment sets contain six items, and some Heroes receive a bonus for wearing a complete set.
Combining materials
Combine four materials of the same type to create a higher-quality material. Academy technologies unlock additional material-quality options.
Using more high-quality materials increases the chance of crafting higher-quality equipment.
Gems and Flickering Dust
Disenchant gems to obtain Flickering Dust. The amount received depends on the gem’s quality. Dust is used to craft gems, with higher-quality gems costing more.
Research the relevant Academy technologies to unlock gem crafting.
Level benefits
Upgrading the Forge increases the equipment crafting-speed bonus.
