Jörmungandr raids: arrive prepared and make your army count

Prepare for a shared battle

Jörmungandr is Ragnarök's raid target. You are joining a coordinated attack, so a useful preparation starts with the Clan's plan: who leads, what formation is expected and when your troops need to arrive.

Ask those questions before committing a large army. A formation copied from another account may not suit your troop tiers, bonuses or the raid leader's plan.

Agree the raid details first

Raids have a chosen target, a rally deadline and a participant limit. The leader cannot start before the selected time, and a raid with no participants is cancelled. Check the actual raid window rather than relying on a chat message alone.

Use an explicit timezone when organising with Clanmates. Leave room for travel changes rather than starting a march at the last possible moment. If the leader cancels or replaces the raid, check the new target and timer again.

Choose a Captain for this army

Amanitore is a common raid choice because of her group-march bonuses. Compare the strength, health and capacity of the developed Captains you actually own; an underdeveloped recommended Captain is not automatically your best option.

Equip for the troops you are sending and for the battle type. A bonus limited to a particular troop family will not improve every unit in a mixed army. Check the Artifact and equipment text before departure, and restore any borrowed equipment afterwards.

Use Captain loadouts to organise the setup. Do not leave construction or gathering equipment equipped merely because that Captain was doing another job earlier.

Contribution matters more than filling slots

Raid rewards depend on your contribution, including the strength and health your troops bring. Simply participating does not guarantee the same reward as another player.

Send an army that serves the agreed plan and fits your recovery budget. Check Guardsmen, monsters and mercenaries separately; a large stack is not necessarily a useful stack if its bonuses do not apply or it is lost before contributing.

Avoid treating someone else's troop counts as a universal recipe. If your Clan provides a formation, ask which tiers and bonuses it assumes. The troop stacking guide explains how to make a comparison useful.

Review one raid before repeating it

After the first planned raid, inspect your report, rewards and recovery options. Keep the starting army and active bonuses in your notes so you can explain a disappointing result rather than merely sending more troops.

Compare similar raids where possible. A different leader, participant mix or target state can change the result, so a higher reward alone does not prove your new equipment caused the improvement.

For loot that arrives with returning reinforcements, wait for the troops to reach home before treating the resources as available. Review the Journal and the current march status if a return is still in progress.

Preserve a budget for Fenrir

Decide how much of your event budget belongs to these raids and how much you want to keep for Fenrir attacks. Spending everything during the first part can leave you unable to use the next opportunity.

Before buying any bonus for the next battle, inspect its price, duration and activation behaviour. Schedule it around the time you can actually play. Read Ragnarök shop priorities before converting your coins into purchases.

Finish by checking recovery deadlines, remaining mercenary lifetime and open portals. A well-run raid includes the return and reset for the next activity.
