Fenrir attacks: choose one Captain and improve each march
Prepare your bonus window, test a formation and compare useful rewards against the cost of restoring your army.

Make the single-Captain choice deliberately
Fenrir allows one Captain per attack. Choose for the army you intend to send, using the bonuses and march capacity of your current Captain rather than a recommendation detached from your account.
Aydae and Cleopatra are common choices to compare. Check their development and the bonuses that apply to your selected troops. A Captain that works well for another player's army may not work as well with yours.
Before leaving, confirm equipment, Artifact, troops and any available Dragon option in the march window. Keep the setup consistent while you evaluate a formation.
Prepare your play window before buying a bonus
Inspect the Fenrir strength bonus available through the Jörmungandr shop. Check the effect, cost, duration and when the timer starts before committing coins. Arrange your troops and recovery supplies so you can use the active window productively.
Do not buy solely because it is a familiar recommendation. If you cannot play enough to benefit, keep the coins for a better-timed session. Compare the bonus with what else those coins would buy for your account.
Check the remaining event time in-game. The calendar helps plan ahead but its dates are estimates, not a guarantee of your current stage or deadline.
Build a formation you can measure
| Preparation | What to inspect |
|---|---|
| Captain | Applicable strength, health and capacity |
| Guardsmen | Tiers and troop families you can afford to use |
| Monsters and mercenaries | Relevant bonus text, limits and expiry |
| Enemy | The squad currently available and its remaining units |
| Recovery | The resources needed after the attack |
Different tiers, bonuses and army limits make a fixed troop count unreliable across accounts. Begin with a controlled attack you can afford, then read the sequence rather than assuming that more units of every type will improve the result.
The troop stacking guide is useful for understanding why stack size and health matter. Use it as a way to reason about a report, not as a promise that one formation fits every Fenrir target.
Compare rewards with recovery cost
Record the useful reward from an attack alongside casualties, permanent losses and the actual recovery price. Include the event milestone reward only when the attack really earns it; do not attribute a large one-off milestone to every future march.
Keep track of the next milestone separately. An attack that completes a nearby goal may be attractive even when a repeat would not be. Conversely, a distant goal can demand much more spending than its prize is worth to you.
For a fair comparison, change one element at a time. If you change Captain, equipment, troop tiers and stack sizes together, you will not know which change helped. A different enemy state is another reason to avoid treating two reports as identical tests.
Protect the budget from the timer
Set a maximum number of attacks or a recovery allowance before the main session. A temporary bonus or expiring mercenary stack is not a reason to spend resources you intended for essential training or research.
Inspect the revive or retrain options rather than assuming every casualty should be restored in the same way. Never assume Ragnarök guarantees Silver revival or removes permanent losses; use the recovery rules shown for the battle.
Stop when the next attack no longer serves your chosen goal, when the result changes unexpectedly or when you cannot manage the return and recovery before leaving.
Finish with a useful purchase plan
Add up the currency you actually earned, inspect the current shop and choose the next useful reward. If Valor was the aim, compare the VP gap for your planned research with the packs you can afford.
Read Ragnarök shop priorities before spending the remainder. For the raid stage, return to Jörmungandr preparation.
Check current requirements in-game before committing troops or resources.
