Ancients Clan Artifacts: upgrade for the clan that will turn up

Make the upgrade decision together

A productive Ancients event starts with a shared plan. Before spending the clan’s effort on more Vaults, decide what you want the next Ancient squad battle to achieve: more members taking part, better rewards from the attacks you can afford, or a target your active fighters can finish.

These are planning choices. There is no single upgrade order that suits a small evening clan and a large clan with members online throughout the day.

Know what each Clan Artifact changes

These are shared event upgrades, separate from the personal Artifacts you equip on Captains. Your Helen or Carter loadout does not replace this clan decision.

Start with the problem from last time

Look at the last event before picking a priority. Ask members what stopped them getting useful attacks in.

• If people arrived after the squad disappeared, discuss a longer window and a better summon time.
• If the group was present but could not use all the available opportunity, review army readiness and recovery resources before asking for a larger target.
• If the window and participation worked well, consider how reward improvements fit the next event’s goals.

Treat these as questions for the officers, not an automatic instruction to spend everything on one Artifact. Compare the next upgrade shown in-game with what the clan can realistically use.

Announce one clear plan

A useful message says when the clan intends to summon, which upgrade is the current priority and when officers will review progress. Include a timezone so members do not interpret “seven tonight” differently.

Keep the message short enough to find in clan chat. If the plan changes, replace the old instruction or clearly mark the new one. Several conflicting messages are an easy way to divide contributions and leave people unsure what to do.

Do not spend tomorrow’s army today

Reserve the resources and troops you intend to use against the Ancient squad. A member who exhausts their recovery budget during Vault preparation may be unable to make good use of the resulting upgrades.

Before another raid, ask whether its cost still fits your plan for the full event. The aim is useful progress over both days, not simply the largest first-day activity total.

Keep a small event record

After the battle, record the summon time, approximate attendance, whether members ran out of time and whether the target was finished. Add a few representative reports from ordinary members as well as the strongest players.

Use that record to choose one improvement for next time. Changing the summon time, attendance plan and upgrade priorities all at once makes it harder to see what helped.
