Ancients preparation: turn today’s Vaults into tomorrow’s rewards
Coordinate maps, raids and Clan Artifact upgrades before the Ancient squad arrives.

Treat the event as one two-day plan
Ancients’ Treasure prepares the clan for Rise of the Ancients. The first stage supplies coins for Clan Artifact upgrades; those upgrades shape the Ancient squad opportunity in the second stage.
Check membership eligibility early. The event requires time in the clan, and leaving, rejoining or moving the clan between kingdoms can affect participation. Plan around the current event rules before making a move.
Collect maps and choose a manageable Vault
Claim map fragments through daily quests. Six fragments make a map; the available Vault levels depend on Guardsmen progression. The highest available Vault is not automatically the best choice for every group.
Agree with the raid leader which level your army can support. Arriving with the requested formation and enough time to join helps the clan more than selecting a demanding target without a plan.
Make raids easy to join
Announce the target, departure time and formation in one short message. Keep travel time in mind and wait for the leader’s instructions before changing troop counts. If you cannot join the planned raid, say so early enough for the leader to adjust.
Prepare equipment and applicable Captain bonuses before departure. Use the Ancient Vaults guide as a starting point, then follow the actual leader’s requirements.
Understand the three Clan Artifacts
| Clan Artifact | Benefit for the Ancient squad |
|---|---|
| Tome of Knowledge | Increases the points available from the fight |
| Enchanted Figurine | Increases the number of creatures summoned |
| Mysterious Clock | Extends the squad’s time on the map |
These are Clan event upgrades, distinct from the personal Artifact equipped on a Captain. Discuss priorities with the officers instead of assuming everyone’s preferred upgrade is the same.
Upgrade for the clan that will actually attend
If members struggle to arrive during the available window, more time may be useful. If attendance is reliable, compare the value of better rewards and additional targets. Match upgrades to the clan’s ability to damage the squad, not just the largest displayed number.
Confirm the next summon time before the first stage ends. Leaders and Superiors control the summon, so a shared timetable helps members prepare rather than discover the target halfway through its window.
Keep enough for the second day
Vault revival has special discounts and reduced permanent losses, but it is not free. Do not exhaust the resources needed for the Ancient squad while trying to maximise first-day activity.
Reserve your intended battle army, applicable bonuses and recovery budget. Take a measured first epic attack, inspect the report and scale up according to the benefit you can afford.
Review one full cycle
After the epic stage, compare attendance, unused time, rewards and recovery spending. Use those observations to guide the next round of Artifact upgrades. A slightly smaller plan that most members can participate in may produce more useful progress than an ambitious plan only a few can support.
See battle report analysis, revival choices and the calendar.
Check current requirements in-game before committing troops or resources.
